How to join
Sign up to be a member! Regular members in our club have less responsibility than editors or those with other specialized roles (which you can see down below), but you can come to meetings (once every 2 weeks) and assist the editors, help raise funds, help with outreach to gain more submissions, be involved in the magazine design and distribution, assist with organizing events, join art critiquing sessions and be included in our weekly club updates!
Editor/role applications

Be a leader and help put the magazine together and evaluate submissions, or help out on the business and marketing side. There is a place for everyone!
Fiction/Nonfiction Editor
Editing and giving feedback on short stories, essays, scripts and other prose writing.
Poetry Editor
Editing and giving feedback on poems.
Art Editor
Giving feedback on physical and digital art, as well as short comics. Decides how art will fit within the magazine, either as standalone pieces or in conjunction with poetry or prose.
Layout Editor
In charge of the overall design of the magazine, including making sure fonts, styles and colors stay consistent + flow nicely. Makes the final decision on the placement of features, pictures, text, and artwork on each page of the magazine. Knowledge of InDesign software preferred but not necessary.
Photography Editor
Editing and giving feedback on photography. Decides how photographs will fit within the magazine, either as standalone pieces or in conjunction with poetry or prose.
Publicist
Plans the production of flyers, posters, emails, school announcements, etc. to publicize the literary magazine to the school. Responsible for coordinating outreach to English and art classes, organizing outreach, possible fundraisers, campaigning for submissions. Making the weekly writing prompts and designing/publishing posts about announcements, engaging with the audience/following people and updating our Website through Wix if needed.
